The 39 clues is an interesting book series about two kids called Amy and Dan Cahill that have no parents (they died in a fire apparently). Amy and Dan travel round the world with their au pair Nellie Cahill to find clues to a recipe to become the world's best Cahill (the Cahill family is a big set of families that has changed the world's history... in different ways :-( ). Amy, Dan and Nellie get involved in lethal situations, for example getting trapped or getting lost in the darkest chambers of the catacombs! Here is the link to The 39 clues website: The 39 Clues
